The Beauty of Change

Each year we all go through seasons. When I talk about seasons of course I'm referring to the physical weather changes that we see, but I'm also talking about the seasons of change that we all individually go through. I have to say that change isn't the easiest thing for me to embrace. I will be the first to admit that I am a creature of habit. I love having consistency in my life. When change comes along my body goes through a shock of sorts, and I usually physically feel the changes.

I've noticed that I have changed a lot in the past few years. I'm definitely not the girl that I was at 18, and I'm not the same girl from when I was 22. However, what I have noticed is that with change comes the opportunity for immense growth. And growth is where I get to learn more about myself and others.

I'm bringing this up because I will be going through a big change in the next couple of months. To be honest, I'm scared shitless! But at the same time, I am so excited for a new adventure! I think the seasons changing help me to remember that life is package of different cycles and adventures. Change will occur, like the seasons do, whether I like it or not. With that in mind, I might as well embrace the change, enjoy the mistakes, and grow. I know change is hard, but I also know that I will so happy that I took that step forward. I think one of the beauties of life is not knowing what a decision is going to bring. Sometimes taking a risk is what I need.

I never want to look back on my life and wonder, "What if...?" Forget that! I want to make my dreams a reality. So even though it may be difficult and uncomfortable, I want embrace the change. I know I will be pleasantly surprised by what I will learn during the process. Remember life isn't  about the destination. It's about the journey getting there and the experiences you get to live!

Here are a few shots I got to captured of the gorgeous flowers that grow in my mama's garden. They remind me that there is beauty in change.
