The Beginning of Our Europe Trip: Paris

Dominic and I have been dreaming about going to Europe for a while now, and this last spring we finally made it a reality. We traveled to Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Rome, Florence and Venice. It's taking a little bit longer to edit these photos than I anticipated, but regardless I hope you enjoy. Today I'm going to dive into our adventures in Paris on our first day!
We arrived in Paris at 5:50am, so needless to say the first 24 hours we were fighting our jet lagged bodies. However, that didn't stop us! We dropped off our bags and went straight into the city. On our path to the Eiffel Tower, we saw these cutest bunnies eating their breakfast! So fluffy!
The Eiffel Tower was as gorgeous as ever! We went to the very top, and could feel that intense chill right down to the bone!

(us at the top!)
Since we almost froze our buns off, we headed off to lunch at the yummiest corner cafe! We perked right up with espresso! Our lunch included escargot, duck, potatoes gratin, and course a baguette!
Next, we wandered through Champs-Élysées. Seeing the hustle of the city is always fun. It's really similar to other big cities I've gone to before. Most of the shops are super fancy, but I made my way to H&M and the Disney Store :)

At the end of the road we came face to face with the Arc du Triomphe, which is probably my favorite monument in Paris. I know that sounds kind of odd, but when you go to the top there's a panoramic view of the whole city including the Eiffel Tower. You know how most pictures (like the ones above) show the Eiffel Tower standing strong on its own? Well sometimes people forget that it's in the heart of the city, and the view from the Arc du Triomphe shows that.
Our first day was a success, and foreshadowed the excitement and sometimes sleepiness of our whole trip. Don't worry, more photos and stories to come!
