Day three required some catch up on sleep since we were jet lagged on the first day, and then went to Disneyland Paris the second day. It was nice to relax in our Parisian apartment, and take our time to get ready for the next adventure.
We took public transportation the entire time while we traveled through Europe, which I have to say is the way to go! Everything is easy to figure out, and if you ask, people will help you out. It also gave us the chance to wander all these different cities without being bombarded with tourists! The photo above was taken when we were walking to Notre Dame after we ate a late breakfast.
Every corner basically had a cafe that you could get a perfect meal including espresso! Today I had a croque monsieur and petite chocolate. SO tasty!

Notre Dame was as breath taking as you can imagine. I think the Gothic architecture that was prevalent when it was built had such a magnificent, grand feeling to it. It stands on its own as beacon for locals and tourists to appreciate. It holds a beauty that you can feel is sacred amongst its people.
It is still an operating cathedral with regular services throughout the day, so you have to keep the noise level down when you're inside. I kept staring at the detail inside as well. Each sculpture has a story behind it.
Right around the corner we visited Lover's Bridge. What's crazy is that the locks were removed only a few weeks later, because the weight was bringing the bridge down. We placed our love lock just in time!
I think the idea of making a promise and throwing away any excuse to break it is a beautiful thing to think about. I'll say that relationships are hard work, and you have to put a lot of love, care, and attention to keep things moving. This lock is a reminder that you chose each other to create something beautiful, and that love knows no bounds. Needless to say, I'm so happy we had the chance to place our love lock in Paris.
It was really amazing to see the "must see" art pieces again and show Dominic how large or small (Mona Lisa) the art was in person.
We wandered around the gardens and enjoyed a beautiful evening stroll.

We finished our walk down the garden. The opposite side of the Louvre is the Pont Alexandre III, which is that magnificent bridge with four gilt-bronze statues.
This is us on the bridge. It's got a picture perfect view of the city and Eiffel Tower.
To wrap up our night in the city of love, we went to see the Moulin Rouge. I've actually eaten and seen the cabaret show there before. I totally suggest it if you want something unique to do! It's a little costly, but a once in a life time experience.
This time around we didn't eat dinner there, but we saw the neon lights and huge crowds! A fun and chaotic atmosphere to be in!
