San Diego Weekend Getaway

I have mentioned this before, but a goal I have is to go some place new at least once a year. Lately, I've been thinking about all the beautiful places in California. And even though I am a native, I haven't been to many of these places. Southern California has some beautiful spots, one of which is San Diego.

Now I have been to San Diego before with my family as a young girl a couple of times, and all I have are good memories. I thought it would be a great place to visit now that I'm an adult. So Dominic and I decided that would be one of our new adventures this year. We stayed in Solana Beach in a place we found on Airbnb. The sunset was breath taking. I just felt so complete with Dominic by my side, and absorbing the moment to its fullest.

We also heard about all the delicious places to eat in San Diego. We tried a variety of our favorite such as, Italian, sushi and acai bowl. It's my favorite to eat my way through a city, especially when it's known to have such amazing choices!

We walked around little Italy and Balboa Park. Exploring places like this are the best for people watching! Ha! Don't tell me you never have done that before :D
Overall, our weekend getaway was better than I ever imagined. I highly recommend to travel to places that are close by you. It could be a big city, national forest, beach town, or country side. Some times I take for granted what's right in my backyard. I am sure I'll be taking more smaller excursions like this again soon.
Love,
The City Feline
