New City Adevnture: San Diego

Dominic and I have a goal of traveling some place new at least once a year. We went to Mexico, Coachella, and this last weekend we went to San Diego for our new places. There's just something that rejuvenates our relationship and sense of adventure. I love taking small vacations with him. On Friday we stayed in the cute small city, Solana Beach. We got an Airbnb that was a block away from the ocean. We saw a gorgeous sunset that set the mood for the whole weekend.

We ate a cute Italian restaurant, and then decided to walk around the cute down town area. It was full of specialty restaurants, diners, and small boutiques. My sweet tooth was craving, so we got some ice cream on our way back home.
Saturday morning we set off for an adventure in San Diego. We got brunch at Davanti Enoteca in downtown, and built our own Bloody Mary. It was so fun putting the crazy ingredients. My favorite was the skewer made with onions, blue cheesed stuff olives and a piece of ham!

We wandered around Balboa Park, which has endless activities, including different museums, festivals, and food. I loved seeing all the different cultures!

As the night came, we took advantage of the Gaslamp quarter and checked out a bar and sophisticated sushi place. The Gaslamp is literally lined with so many delicious looking restaurants and fun bars. I don't think someone could go to all the restaurants in one trip!
I am so grateful I got to spend the weekend with my love. I miss him so much when we are apart. He literally makes me laugh more than anyone else, so the smiles have been endless!

Follow all this weekend's post on my Instagram! This week will be amazing! Are there any great places you've visited that you would recommend to go?
Love,
The City Feline
